Wexford provides the Saturday bread and butter before the haute cuisine of the Oaks and while Streak Of Silver will hardly start at a working man's price in the apprentice maiden, she should still win.

Streak Of Silver has had just the one run but that was an encouraging one at Bellewstown last week when just headed close home by Spicebird. It's hardly earth-shattering form but she goes today off 8.9, getting 19lbs from the likely main danger Dionisio, and is almost certain to have come on for her debut.

The other maiden is over two miles and features mainly some hardy National Hunt performers. Fran Berry's mount Afsana comes here on the back of a comfortable victory in a Clonmel maiden hurdle but does have a flat rating of 65.

Her best flat form came as a juvenile, including being placed at Dundalk, but although disappointing last term, Afsana now looks a more complete article and could be up to taking care of the Willie Mullins pair, Sophronia and Hasty Native.

Mullins, though, could have better luck with Cappamore Girl, although Biddy Blackhurst will come into it significantly if promoted from first reserve, while the course and distance winner Kate Emily is a tentative selection in the Smirnoff Handicap.

Over the jumps, the Joyce Bel should be hard to beat in the Beginners Chase and Simply Sal looks the solution to a poor looking bumper.
