Sakhee has World Cup warm-up

Sakhee, officially rated the best horse of last year in the international classifications, launches his 2002 campaign in Dubai tomorrow.

Godolphin`s six-length Prix de l`Arc de Triomphe winner has his first run since he was narrowly beaten in the Breeders` Cup Classic last October when he tackles a conditions race at Nad Al Sheba.

He will be ridden by Frankie Dettori and takes on five rivals in a 10-furlong contest on dirt which is a warm-up for next month`s Dubai World Cup.

His trainer Saeed bin Suroor also saddles Lord Of The Manor (John Carroll) and Atlantis Prince (Jamie Spencer), who were fifth and sixth respectively in a one-mile turf race at Nad Al Sheba 10 days ago.

Tomorrow`s field is completed by Aslaaf, Pentagonal and Siege.

On the same card Godolphin run Breeders` Cup Juvenile Fillies second Imperial Gesture (Dettori) and Chesham Stakes winner Seba (Spencer) in the Moonshell Mile over a mile on dirt.

And the Eoin Harty-trained Wahajj (Dettori) makeshis debut in a five-furlong dirt maiden.
