See More back in Business 1999 Gold Cup winner See More Business earned another crack at this year`s renewal of Cheltenham`s blue riband event with victory in the Jim Ford Chase at Wincanton today.Despite the official winning margin of 30 lengths, the result of the race tells only half the story as supporters of the 4-5 favourite would have experienced a hair-raising time.Until Upgrade made a bad mistake at the fifth-last fence - which all but unshipped the ever-brilliant Tony McCoy - See More Business seemed to be coming off worse in the battle.Joe Tizzard tried to seize the advantage at that point, aboard the favourite, but by the time both horses reached the next obstacle, McCoy and Upgrade were back upsides.See More Business jumped markedly left at the next fence and again seemed to be struggling but as Upgrade entered the home straight, the complexion of the race changed again. The leader`s suspect stamina gave way and See More Business came bounding clear to score by 30 lengths from his legless rival.Nicholls was understandably delighted with the win and confirmed that his charge will now go for next month`s Tote Gold Cup at Cheltenham, the race in which the 12-year-old enjoyed his greatest moment when winning in 1999.'I am thrilled for the horse and for Joe,' he said.'I didn`t want anybody else to ride him today and I hope he will ride him again in the Gold Cup now.'It was sharp enough for him today and he is better going left-handed too. It`s a wide-open Gold Cup and if they go fast and it comes up soft then he would be a live outsider.'Bookmakers were not so sure, the Tote writing him off as a 50-1 chance.Hors La Loi III put himself back in the picture for the Champion Hurdle with a good win in the Axminster Carpets Hurdle.McCoy forced a strong pace throughout the contest on 11-10 favourite Copeland and he was in front until two out when Dean Gallagher made his move aboard Hors La Loi III.The seven-year-old had to be pushed along but when he came upsides Copeland he found another gear to kick clear of the field.McCoy switched Martin Pipe`s horse after the last but he could not get back on terms with the 9-2 winner who was eased down on the run in to score an impressive victory.Winning trainer James Fanshawe said: 'It comes 19 days before Cheltenham and hopefully it will give him a bit of confidence.'Dean said that he was travelling really well down the back but he got a bit outpaced in the straight and I thought Copeland had got the better of him but he stays on well and that`s hopefully why Cheltenham will suit him better than Wincanton.'
