Joey Sheridan completed a sparkling 1259/1 Fairyhouse treble when taking the closing Treo Eile Retraining Ireland's Racehorses Handicap on 20/1 chance Ze Do Asfalto

Fitted with cheekpieces for the first time, the Ardad gelding raced close to the pace and led entering the final furlong to beat the veteran Only Spoofing by three-parts of a length.

The three-year-old had been claimed by owner James McAuley after winning for Adrian Murray at Dundalk last month.

Sheridan, enjoying his best-ever season and now on 30 winners for the campaign, was successful earlier in the afternoon on Utmost Good Faith (3/1) and Miracle Beauty (14/1).

Trainer Denis Hogan said: "I can’t take any credit as the boys claimed him, James and Stephen (McAuley).

“Robson (Aguiar) recommended him highly. He’s a grand three-year-old, he’s hardy and takes his racing really well.

“He was drawn on the wrong side last time in Cork but he ran really well.

“Joey really fancied him today and he’s riding really well. He’s just riding with so much confidence and making all the right decisions. He’s just really grown up as a rider and is the finished article now.

“It’s great to have the lads back. The yard is going well but it’s great to add their fire power. They help me with the race planning as well, especially with their own. They are always looking ahead.

“They claimed another horse today and I think they’ve bought one privately as well.

“They love Dundalk, it’s close to them and that’s where they want winners.”
