Silent Gold Bid Still Possible Harry Rogers is still considering the possibility of running his Punchestown Champion Hurdle winner Silent Oscar in the Gold Cup at Royal Ascot.A slightly surprising victor at 20-1 that day when holding off Macs Joy, Rogers believes he would be no forlorn hope if taking on the likes of Yeats in the showpiece staying event of the year. 'I don´t know if he will run yet, I´d say we will have decided by the end of the week,' said Rogers. 'The ground would be the thing and he wouldn´t want it fast there. 'But the horse is in good form at the moment and if the ground was in his favour, he´d run well without a doubt. 'He´s basically a two and a half mile horse so he´d be entitled to take his chance.'Silent Oscar has won once on the level so far in his career, that victory came a couple of weeks before Punchestown when he again outpointed Macs Joy, this time by two lengths in a two mile event at the Curragh. He is a general 33-1 shot for the Gold Cup on June 21.(C) PA Sport
