Singapore lifts British ban

Singapore has lifted its ban on British horses entering the country which was imposed after the outbreak of the foot-and-mouth crisis.

Soong Sze-Ming, the Singapore Turf Club vice president, said that the policy has been reversed and that horses can fly directly from Britain to Singapore.

Singapore stages two valauble international contests at Kranji on May 12th, the Singapore Airlines International Cup and the inaugural Singapore Airlines KrisFlyer Sprint.

The former race, for which Luca Cumani`s Endless Hall is invited, is also expected to attract performers of the calibre of Silvano and Jim And Tonic.
