Snowy Morning completes his Grand National preparation at Fairyhouse on Saturday

Irish Gold Cup third Snowy Morning, ante-post favourite for the John Smith´s Grand National, is to complete his Aintree preparations with a run in the At Grade 2 The Races Bobbyjo Chase, at Fairyhouse on Saturday.

Trainer Willie Mullins reports the eight-year-old "in good form. He came out of his race (at Leopardstown) well".

"We were quite pleased with his last run considering that he hadn´t had an ideal preparation running in hurdles before coming up against horses that had been running in Grade 1s all season. He put in a very good performance.

"It´s a very drying wind here today but I don´t think the ground should be any problem as he can win on that."

Snowy Morning is entered in the Ryanair Chase and Totesport Gold Cup at Cheltenham but Mullins is unlikely to let him make the trip.

"He probably won´t run at Cheltenham. If all goes well, this will more than likely be his last race before Aintree," he explained.

Mullins also saddles 2005 Grand National winner Hedgehunter in Saturday´s race and Mullins believes the 12yo is improving for every outing this term.

He stated "he´s good and I think he´s coming along now and will hopefully make more progress tomorrow".

"I don´t know if this will be his last run (before Aintree), we will have to see. Like Snowy Morning, if all goes well, this is more likely to be his last run."
