Soumillon Gets Call For Araafa Jeremy Noseda has confirmed that Christophe Soumillon will ride dual Group One winner Araafa in Saturday's Queen Elizabeth II Stakes. The Belgian had been in line for the ride on the colt in the 2000 Guineas but had to miss the race due to a bad back. Alan Munro stepped in and has been in the saddle all season. However, with Munro now out of action himself, Soumillon will finally get the chance to partner the Mull Of Kintyre colt.Noseda said: 'Araafa is in good order. Christophe Soumillon takes the ride.'The Shalfleet trainer is also looking forward to saddling May Hill Stakes winner Simply Perfect in the Meon Valley Stud Fillies' Mile and he revealed that Darryll Holland will retain the ride.'I was very happy with her performance at York and feel that she will be suited by the stiffer mile at Ascot. Darryll Holland will ride her,' said Noseda.(C) PA Sport
