The Sportsman, the first new daily national newspaper for 20 years, will be launched on March 22.

The paper's arrival coincides with the growth in sports betting and they will offer in-depth reports, results and information

Charlie Methven, the paper's publishing editor, said: 'The enormous growth of sports betting has created a hunger for information and knowledge to the sports and racing bettor.

'We feel strongly that our team of over 120 staff can deliver a service that has never been on offer before.'
