Stellar Field Set For Nassau

Light Shift, Peeping Fawn and ante-post favourite Mandesha will star in a fascinating clash of the generations in the Blue Square Nassau Stakes at Goodwood tomorrow.

The first-named pair are locked at one-all in head-to-heads this season, having won the Epsom Oaks and Irish Oaks respectively.

Alain de Royer-Dupre's Mandesha, a three-time Group One winner last term, will be reverting to 10 furlongs after chasing home Mountain High in the Grand Prix de Saint-Cloud last time.

Royal Ascot winner Nannina will represent John Gosden, while last season's 1000 Guineas heroine Speciosa will run for Pam Sly.

However, Jim Bolger's star filly Finsceal Beo, winner of this year's one-mile English and Irish Classics, will not take her chance and is the only defector at the 48-hour stage.

Her absence leaves Yaqeen, Sweet Lilly and Dont Dili Dali to complete the eight-runner line-up.
