Stormy Master gets up late for third win at Wexford Twice a previous winner at the track, including the corresponding race two years ago, Stormy Master got up close home to land the Racing Again Tomorrow Handicap Chase at Wexford. Dropped out early on by Liam Quinlan, the Ray Hackett trained 11-year-old took closer order on the heels of the leaders at halfway. Pushed along to go fourth after three out, the 14/1 chance came through to lead narrowly jumping the second last. Strongly pressed by The Little Yank between the final two fences, the pair collided jumping the last but the latter got away from it the better. However, Stormy Master rallied gamely under Quinlan, getting back up close home to win by a head. Liam Quinlan said: "He's a tough auld horse. I know he was a big price but Ray really fancied this horse coming here today. We've been a bit unlucky with the horses at home, they've just been a small bit sick. "We ran a mare (Littlebiggie) in the first and she finished second, so it just goes to show they are coming back to form and our luck is turning. "He likes to be tricked along, he likes to think he is going better than he is. If you force him along he is inclined to give up a bit. It was a gutsy performance from him today. He jumped the last two well and galloped the whole way to the line." Additional reporting by Donal Murphy.
