Supple Notches Five-Timer

Willie Supple enjoyed a fruitful afternoon at Jebel Ali on Friday as he completed a five-timer in all the thoroughbred races.

Supple partnered Restructured in the concluding six-furlong handicap and his dead-heat with the Shane Gorey-ridden Mbosi was enough to complete his quintet after earlier successes on Sign Writer, Another Legend, Muzdaher and Mogaamer.

Supple, who received a special presentation from the racecourse management, said: 'I have ridden four winners here before for Sheikh Ahmed and Dhruba (Selvaratnam) but never five.

'Everything has gone right and it has been a great day and one that I will not forget for a long time.

'I had better make the most of it though because it may be a long time before I do it again!'
