Swan´s Belle comes home under Sharkey The final race at Downpatrick went to Charlie Swan´s Sutherland Belle ridden by Colm Sharkey. Sharkey pushed his mount out to win by 4 lengths. Colm Sharkey a 26 year old from Limerick said, "it?s my first winner in Ireland, I rode 17 winners as a professional in England. I got a bad fall and gave up and came back to Ireland to study business in University and took out an amateurs license." Downpatrick were blessed today with the good weather and punters were out in force and had a record attendance of 3067.
