TROUBLE BREWING AT CHELTENHAM

Looks Like Trouble heads a select six-runner field in the £50,000-added Pillar Property Chase at Cheltenham tomorrow.

Noel Chance's star is seeking to put himself back into serious reckoning for the Cheltenham Gold Cup after a disappointing performance in the King George VI Chase.

But the Grade Two contest will provide a tough test with the opposition including Go Ballistic and Double Thriller.

The consistent Go Ballistic was second in the corresponding event 12 months ago before going on to finish runner-up in the Gold Cup.

Alan King's charge has proved himself as good as ever by finishing second in this season's King George VI Chase.

Double Thriller is out to restore his reputation after being turned over at a short price at Wincanton last month.

Trainer Paul Nicholls blamed a breathing problem for the below-par effort. He has decided to shelve plans to operate on Double Thriller.

Stiff opposition can also be expected from the King George VI Chase third Dr Leunt and Martin Pipe's Majadou, a winner over two miles at Cheltenham last month.

The field is completed by the Yorkshire raider Simply Dashing. He has plenty of ability but breathing problems have hampered his progress.

The exciting Bindaree is an absentee from the £50,000-added Marchpole Cleeve Hurdle but the Grade One contest should still provide plenty of Festival clues.

Last year's winner Lady Rebecca is returning to the course after an absence of 317 days.

The Venetia Williams-trained mare has a tough task with the opposition including the promising Mark Pitman pair Count Campioni and Santabless as well as Nicky Henderson's highly-rated Bacchanal and Martin Pipe's representative Wahiba Sands.
