Tarxien gives McCoy 150th winner Despite proving friendless in the betting ring and drifting out to 7-2, Tarxien was yet another winner for the champion duo of Martin Pipe and Tony McCoy at Cheltenham today. And the gelding`s victory in the Mike Smith Benefit Year Novices` Hurdle provided McCoy with yet another landmark in his glittering career as he recorded his fastest 150 winners of the season. Pipe said: 'That`s 150 for A P McCoy - he`s just brilliant! But I just cannot believe the horse`s starting price as I can assure you we fancied him, yet he`s drifted out from 2-1.' Tarxien was scoring his fifth hurdles victory on the bounce but his task was made a shade easier as closest pursuer Double Bogey Blues came down at the second last leaving the Pipe charge clear for a 20 length call over Hard To Start.
