Tatling Heading Back To York Milton Bradley's The Tatling is set for a return to York following his run in last week's VC Bet Nunthorpe Stakes on Knavesmire. The evergreen nine-year-old finished a respectable four-length sixth to Reverence over the flying five furlongs, but his handler feels the nature of the going compromised his chance. 'He's come out of it very well,' he explained.'It's just a shame it rained for three hours the night before and then dried all night after 10 o'clock as it was very sticky.'He'll go on soft ground if it's wet but he won't go the best on sticky ground.'The Tatling has landed 10 successes over a career spanning 79 races, and despite failing to get his head in front this season, Bradley feels he has been acquitting himself well. And having previously shown a liking for York, the Chepstow handler is keen to send his charge back to the course for his next outing.'He finished sixth (in the Nunthorpe) and he's nine years old so there's no shame in that.'He ran a very good race at Goodwood where he was beaten less than two lengths into fourth and that was from a real bad draw.'We have a race at York coming up for him I think ? a five-furlong sprint which is good as he likes it up there ? he was second in the big race three years running up there,' he told Racing UK. ?
