Thurles Fit For Racing

This afternoon's meeting at Thurles has been given the go-ahead after a successful early-morning inspection.

Course officials brought forward their proposed 8am assessment of the track after a forecast deluge of rain failed to materialise.

Irish Turf Club press officer, Cliff Noone, said: 'They had around five millimetres of rain last night which was not a problem.

'There's also a strong wind, which has helped the situation.

'The inspection was brought forward and the meeting goes ahead.'
