Time To Bypass York

Passage Of Time is set to skip next week's three-day Ebor meeting at York in favour of a trip to France.

A course winner in May when she claimed the Musidora Stakes, Passage Of Time disappointed when sent off as 9-4 favourite for the Oaks at Epsom.

Despite Cecil issuing an upbeat report on the filly, he has nominated the Prix Vermeille at Longchamp on September 16 as her next target.

'Passage Of Time is coming back nicely but I'm not thinking of York ? it may just come a little bit early for her,' said Cecil.

'It is far more likely that she may go for the Prix Vermeille.

'The Breeders' Cup is a possibility. I'm hopeful that she will make a very nice autumn filly.'

Cecil's Oaks heroine Light Shift could also head to France after her third-place finish in a hot renewal of the Nassau Stakes at Glorious Goodwood.

'Light Shift is just having a little bit of a break and there would be a chance of her running in the Prix de l'Opera (Longchamp, October 7),' he told www.henrycecil.com.

Cecil also had news of Multidimensional, who has been sidelined by a pelvic injury this year.

'Multidimensional seems in good order and is on his way back. We will look for a conditions race for him in September and I hope that he is on course for a shot at the Champion Stakes at Newmarket on October 20,' added Cecil.
