Tote Ireland Celebrates 75th Anniversary With Punchestown Sponsorship Tote Ireland is to celebrate its 75th anniversary this spring by sponsoring a EUR75,000 handicap hurdle on Tuesday, April 26, the opening day of the Irish National Hunt Festival at Punchestown. Tote Ireland will be inviting 8,000 guests to come and celebrate the occasion at Punchestown. The race has seen its prize money virtually doubled from EUR40,000 last year and will form part of a major involvement for Tote Ireland at the 2005 Irish National Hunt Festival. For the four days of the Festival, Tote Ireland is offering a Guaranteed Tote Jackpot each day of EUR50,000. Martin Harrell, Commercial and Business Development Manager at Tote Ireland, said today: 'At Punchestown 2004, Tote Ireland took over EUR3.6 million, smashing our previous festival records, something we are looking to repeat this year. 2005 is a very special year for Tote Ireland, not only are we celebrating our 75th Anniversary but are very proud that it should coincide with our Presidency of the European Association of Parimutuels. We are delighted to commence these celebrations with our Punchestown race sponsorship and look forward to a fabulous Festival.'
