Trainer remains wary

Trainer Roger Charlton warned punters not to get 'carried away' with the Epsom Derby chances of Aldwych despite the colt`s victory in the Stanley Bristol Casino Tattenham Corner Classified Stakes at Bath yesterday.

The chestnut son of In The Wings won by three-quarters of a length under Pat Eddery. But Charlton said: 'I think it`s the silly season and people should not get carried away with the hype and bookmakers trying to shorten horses up.'

Despite Charlton`s misgivings the Tote kept Aldwych as a 20 to 1 chance from 25 to 1 for the Epsom showpiece next month.
