Trouble to go straight to Cheltenham Looks Like Trouble, the 2000 Tote Gold Cup winner, will go straight to Cheltenham without another run, trainer Noel Chance revealed this afternoon. The recent spell of wet weather has persuaded the Upper Lambourn trainer to scrap plans to give the 10-year-old another run before the big race on March 14.Chance decided not to enter Looks Like Trouble for Thursday`s K J Pike & Sons Racing In Wessex Chase at Wincanton or the Aon Chase at Newbury on Saturday. He is still in the Irish Hennessy Cognac Gold Cup at Leopardstown on Sunday but the ground is likely to be no better there.'We didn`t enter him in the Aon as the weather was so bad here this morning and Leopardstown are experiencing the same weather we are, so we`re going straight to the Gold Cup.'We`ll give him a racecourse gallop closer to the end of this month. He`s well able to handle that and he`s in great shape.'He worked very nicely on Saturday which was his first serious bit of work since his run and he did that nicely. So it`s fingers crossed.'Looks Like Trouble had been off the track for 14 months with a tendon injury before making a triumphant return in the John Bull Chase at Wincanton last month. He is 5-1 favourite for the Gold Cup with the sponsors.
