Two Suspensions for Danny Grant The Stewards enquired into possible interference in the closing stages of this race involving Tuscan Evening, ridden by Danny Grant, placed second and Carribean Sunset, ridden by Ryan Moore, placed fourth. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned and also from Mr. Dermot Weld, trainer of Carribean Sunset and Mr. John Joseph Murphy, trainer of Tuscan Evening. Having considered all the evidence, the Stewards were of the opinion that Tuscan Evening had improved her ultimate placing in the race in relation to Carribean Sunset and they therefore reversed the placings to read as follows:- 1st - Halfway to Heaven 2nd - Mad About You 3rd - Carribean Sunset 4th - Tuscan Evening Furthermore, the Stewards were of the opinion that Danny Grant had ridden carelessly and they therefore suspended him for 2 racedays (8th and 9th June 2008). The Stewards enquired into another incident approximately two furlongs from the finish involving Tuscan Evening, ridden by Danny Grant and Kitty Matcham, ridden by Johnny Murtagh where it appeared Kitty Matcham ran short of room. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. Having viewed the video of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were of the opinion that Danny Grant had ridden carelessly and they therefore suspended him for 2 racedays (11th and 13th June 2008).
