UK Monday Jumps Fixtures in Doubt Officials at Market Rasen will inspect the track at 1pm on Sunday ahead of Monday´s meeting. A series of cold nights have thrown the fixture into doubt with acting clerk of the course Fiona Needham keen to assess the situation. "We got down to minus four overnight and the night before that, although the frost did come out of the ground on Saturday and we were raceable," she said. "The best forecast we have had for Sunday night is minus four so we thought it prudent to have a look today. "Given the forecast, I have to say it´s not looking great but we will know a bit more by 1pm." Meanwhile Carlisle have called an 8am inspection ahead of Monday´s meeting due to the threat of frost. The current cold snap has seen temperatures drop well below freezing at the Cumbrian venue and clerk of the course Johnnie Fenwicke-Clennell will have to check conditions. "We got down to minus five on Saturday night and it´s overcast at the moment," he said. "It is due to be cold again on Sunday night so it´s fingers crossed, but the forecast is not favourable."
