United Set To Bypass Aintree

Ladbrokes World Hurdle fourth United is 'highly unlikely' to run at Aintree this week.

Lucy Wadham's progressive six-year-old ran a blinder at the Cheltenham Festival when finishing 14 lengths behind Inglis Drever.

But with United at her best when there is a bit of juice in the ground, Wadham revealed her stable star is set to miss Aintree ? where she holds entries in the John Smith's Handicap Hurdle and the John Smith's Liverpool Hurdle.

'She's very well but it is highly unlikely we'll go to Aintree because the ground appears to have gone against her,' said the Newmarket-based handler.

'We'll maybe look at Punchestown and keep her going for a few more weeks.

'But if it continues to keep drying out it would be a concern.'
