Valain in a winning groove Valain jumped well to land the Tipperary Town & Districk Traders Chase at Tipperary tonight to the delight of winning trainer Charlie Swan. Ridden by David Casey, Valain put in big jumps at the final two fences before going on to win by eight lengths from Carlesimo. Swan later reported "following his win at Cork last March, he apprears to have turned a corner! We´ll give him a break now as he has been on the go for some time but will be back for a novice or handicap at Galway."
