Today`s meeting at Ripon has been abandoned after an inspection due to a waterlogged track.

'We have had to abandon I`m afraid,' clerk of the course James Hutchinson explained.

'We`ve had upwards of 18mm of rain and it is still raining now. One or two places are simply unsafe and we had no option really.'
