WEAVER BACK NEXT WEEK Jason Weaver is set to return to action on the all-weather next week. The jockey, recently returned from a holiday in Malaysia, said today: "I shall probably be back on Monday or Tuesday next week. I haven't race ridden since the back end on turf last year and didn't ride on the all-weather. "The weight has gone on a bit, as it does, and I don't think I will be riding below 8st 9lb or 8st 10lb to begin with." Weaver, who rode 63 winners in 1999, confirmed that he would again be riding as a freelance this year.
