Wachman Hopeful Of Damson Guineas Bid Damson could still make the Boylesports Irish 1000 Guineas on Sunday week after scoping clean on Tuesday morning. The Entrepeneur filly was forced to miss the UltimatePoker.com 1000 Guineas at Newmarket because of a dirty scope and now trainer David Wachman faces a race against time to ensure she is ready for the Curragh Classic. 'She scoped clean this morning, so we will see if we can get her there,' said Wachman. 'Obviously, I wouldn´t be as confident and it is still in the balance, but at least it´s a positive sign now rather than a negative. 'Sometimes when they have been on antibiotics they can run flat so it is a bit of a gamble. And then there´s the ground - she wants it good or faster so that has to come into the equation as well. 'We will leave the decision about her participation until the last minute.' Damson, winner of the Queen Mary Stakes and the Phoenix Stakes as a two-year-old, has not raced since suffering her only defeat in five starts when a close third to Magical Romance in the Cheveley Park Stakes last September. ?
