Weather claims Haydock Saturday`s meeting at Haydock has been abandoned because of frost.Clerk of the course Kirkland Tellwright said: 'It was hopeless. It is freezing now. There is talk of a thaw but frankly it is going to need days of thaw.'The course is absolutely rock solid. The worn areas will be unfit. Looking at the weather forecast, it would need three days of mild weather to get the frost out of the ground.'The stewards called off the card about an hour before a scheduled 4 p.m. inspection today.
