Weld Out For The Season Leading Grand National contender Hot Weld has been sidelined for the rest of the season.Ferdy Murphy's Cheltenham Festival winner returned from his Betfred Gold Cup success in April with a haematoma on a leg and had yet to run this campaign.Murphy told the Racing Post: 'We've just run out of time with him.'The vet told us that we should not give him any fast work for four weeks and he is a very gross horse who takes a lot of work.'So after speaking to the owners, we decided we should put him away for the year.'Hot Weld was a general third favourite for the John Smith's-sponsored Aintree marathon.(C) PA Sport
