Whatuthink´s poor run explained Whatuthink scoped badly following a disappointing run in the Deloitte Novice Hurdle at Leopardstown yesterday. Oliver McKiernan´s charge finished a distant fifth of six finishers behind Forpadydeplasterer and Cork All Star, having beaten the two principals over the same course in December. Whatuthink is still set to take his chance at Cheltenham, with the Ballymore Properties Novices´ Hurdle the likely target. "He scoped bad after the race. There was just something down in him," said McKiernan´s assistant, Adrian Keatley. "Conor (O´Dwyer) wasn´t hard on him and the horse seems OK. We´re still happy enough to go to Cheltenham and there was a genuine excuse why he didn´t run well. "He beat those two horses (Forpadydeplasterer and Cork All Star) the last day. There´s no way those two could have improved and he could have gone back that much. "Whichever way he ran on Sunday he was always going to have an easy time for a week or so. We´ll probably go for the Ballymore. I´d imagine the ground is going to be quick enough at Cheltenham." Whatuthink is available at around 20-1 for the Ballymore Properties on March 12.
