There’s only one Irish raider in Britain to look out for on Tuesday but the horse in question represents a couple of familiar faces - Willie and Patrick Mullins.

It’s a first outing at the track for both trainer and jockey, so they’ll be wanting to make it a winning one.

Here we assess the chances of the Mullins’ representative in the two-mile maiden hurdle and consider who the main dangers could be.

Road To Home - Hexham 3.20 @ SP

This gelded son of Gamut began his career under rules with a cosy success in a 2m4f bumper at Listowel in June and Willie Mullins subsequently swooped to purchase him privately.

There was lots to like about that performance and, while the form is a bit of a mixed bag, the third did when over hurdles two starts later.

You would imagine having won a bumper over further, he'll be wanting a trip sooner rather than later, but connections have decided to run him over no further than an extended 2m2f in two starts over hurdles.

The flat two-mile trip here might be a bit on the short side, but it wouldn't be a surprise if he gets away with it here. Officially he ran out on hurdling debut at Naas in February but he was a little unlucky in the end and it shouldn't be held against him.

Third over just shy of two miles after that, he kept on well to hit the frame late on. This looks like his best opportunity to date and victory should be on the cards.

There's not much in terms of strong opposition despite the fact that he faces nine rivals.

Jed O'Keefe's runner He's Bresilian finished third behind Mullins' Chart Topper at Wetherby in January and appears to be the biggest threat to Road To Home here.

Rogue Sea looks capable of progressing for the in-form Jennie Candlish, but he was a well beaten third of four behind Bond Broker at Sedgefield last time out and will surely struggle to get the better of the Mullins representative here.
