Wolf On The Prowl Kevin Ryan is looking forward to saddling Amadeus Wolf in the Betfred Sprint Cup at Haydock, in which he hopes his charge can gain the second Group One success of his career and his first at the top level as a fully-fledged sprinter. He won last year's Shadwell Stud Middle Park over Saturday's distance of six furlongs, but despite running well this season, has yet to notch another victory. The son of top-class sprinter Mozart was seen to good effect chasing home Reverence over five furlongs in last Thursday's VC Bet Nunthorpe Stakes, however, and Ryan is thrilled with his current well-being ahead of the big showdown tomorrow.'He seems to have come out of the Nunthorpe in great from and is bouncing. Two days afterwards he was bucking and squealing,' he said. 'It's hard for three-year-olds taking on the older horses earlier on in the season, but he's a very good horse and is improving.'He's a typical top-class horse and seems to handle any ground. He's tough and genuine and is very well going into the race.'? PA Sport
