Yarmouth race transferred to Thursday

The British Horseracing Board has agreed to transfer the Listed John Musker Fillies` Stakes, lost from today`s abandoned Yarmouth meeting, to the course`s scheduled fixture on Thursday.

The £22,000-added event will now be added to that day`s card, as the first race, at 1.55pm.

The race will not be reopened.

The BHB said it was grateful for the support of the Levy Board and the co-operation of the Yarmouth executive in helping to enable the important black-type event to be saved.

Racing at Yarmouth today was abandoned because of waterlogging and there is a 6am inspection tomorrow to see whether the second day of the three-day fixture can go ahead.
