Zipping set for Johannesburg clash

French colt Zipping was today reported 'in good shape' ahead of his bid to reverse Prix Morny form with Johannesburg in Thursday`s Group One Middle Park Stakes at Newmarket.

The Robert Collet-trained son of Zafonic, who had previously won the Group Two Prix Robert Papin, was beaten a length and a half by Johannesburg at Deauville after being slowly into his stride.

'I am looking forward to running him at Newmarket,' Collet said today. 'I have been very happy with his preparation and I think he has a good chance on Thursday.'

Zipping will travel over from Collet`s Chantilly base on Wednesday.

Regular partner Davy Bonilla will be on board again at Newmarket.

The last French-trained winner of the Middle Park was Zieten, who Andre Fabre saddled to victory in 1992.

Collet may also have a representative in Saturday`s Peugeot Sun Chariot Stakes.

He said: 'Lethals Lady could run in the Sun Chariot but we haven`t decided yet. She`s a good filly and she may go for the Prix de la Foret (Longchamp on October 14th).'
