Alainn Plans Undecided Cailin Alainn's season could be over after the mare missed Sunday's Powers Gold Cup due to injury. The eight-year-old was a late defection from the Grade One at Fairyhouse after suffering a bruised foot.Although the injury is not too serious, trainer Charles Byrnes may not risk her at the Punchestown Festival, where she holds entries in the Ellier Development Hanover Quay Champion Novice Chase and the Guinness Gold Cup.'She's fine now but she wasn't 100% and we didn't want to run her on Sunday on that ground,' said the County Limerick handler.'It was nothing too bad and the main thing is she's still in one piece.'I don't know about Punchestown just yet but we may let her off for the season because she's already had quite a busy time of things.'(C) PA Sport
