Alexander Goldrun in line for Pretty Polly Stakes.

Trainer Jim Bolger has indicated that his Irish 1,000 Guineas runner-up Alexander Goldrun is likely to run in the Pretty Polly Stakes at The Curragh on Saturday week.

The filly, a little disappointing when fourth in Sunday´s Prix de Diane at Chantilly, was reported by Bolger to have 'run a very good race but she didn´t break as well as we hoped.' Regarding an incident which forced the filly to burst her way through a malfunctioning starting stall at Galway last year, he added 'It´s a throwback to what happened at Galway last year.'

Bolger hinted that Alexander Goldrun may also be supplemented for the Irish Oaks although he reported 'I talked to her owner Noel O´Callaghan this morning and we will see after the Pretty Polly.'
