Apt Approach Cheltenham Bound

Willie Mullins unleashed another impressive looking bumper horse at Gowran Park on Saturday as Apt Approach trounced his rivals by 15-lengths in the concluding race on Red Mills day at the Co Kilkenny track.

Sent off the 9/4 favourite, the five-year-old by Bob Back was made a 10/1 for the Cheltenham Bumper and afterwards a delighted Willie Mullins said, "We seem to have unearthed a nice prospect there and he is bound for Cheltenham after that.

"He certainly would not light up my gallops at home but he showed in his Point-To-Point that he wasn´t too bad and we were hoping he would show more on the track."

Mullins added that the Greenstar Syndicate had bought Apt Approach to replace Adamant Approach who was retired during the week.
