Arcalis Set For Haydock Assignment

Arcalis will put his Cheltenham Festival credentials on the line when he turns out in the Grade Two Commhoist Logistics Champion Hurdle Trial at Haydock on Saturday.

Howard Johnson´s six-year-old is as low as 7-2 joint favourite with Ladbrokes for the Smurfit Champion Hurdle after winning the Grade One Pertemps 'Fighting Fifth' Hurdle at Newcastle last time.

Last year´s Triumph Hurdle runner-up Faasel represents Nicky Richards´ yard, while Royal Shakespeare will be aiming to avenge his Newcastle defeat by Arcalis.

Irish raider Al Eile, Castleford Chase winner Mister McGoldrick, Milligan and Overstrand complete the seven-strong field.
