Ascot Options For Mighty Manduro

Andre Fabre´s Manduro will make his next appearance in either the Queen Anne or the Prince Of Wales´s Stakes at Royal Ascot.

The two options are over a mile and a mile and two furlongs respectively, but on current form neither would be a problem.

Transferred to Fabre´s care from Peter Schiergen in Germany last season, he made the frame in every one of the eight races he started although he only won the first one, the Group Two Prix d´Harcourt.

Manduro is owned by Baron Von Ullmann, who had the brilliant Shirocco last year, and has looked a completely different proposition on his two starts in 2007.

After impressing in the Earl Of Sefton Stakes at Newmarket, he finally gained a Group One success in the admittedly weak nine-furlong Prix d´Ispahan last month.

Paul Harley, the Baron´s racing manager, said: 'Manduro will go to Royal Ascot, but which race he runs in has not been decided.

'I expect Mr Fabre will leave the decision until the last moment. He seems to be pleased with him.'
