Ayr Raid An Option For Invincible

Invincible Force may step up to Listed company at Ayr next month following his valuable victory at the Curragh.

The two-year-old gelding gave his trainer Deborah Evans her biggest success when winning the 147,000 Tattersall Ireland Sales Stakes on Sunday.

Although that race was over six furlongs, Evans would have no qualms about dropping him back to the minimum trip.

'He's very laid back. All he's done since he got back is eat and sleep,' said the Merseyside trainer.

'We're thinking of the Harry Rosebery at Ayr, but we're going to discuss it with the owner.

'The Harry Rosebery is over five furlongs. I don't think five would bother him, nor would six or seven.

'It might be a case of going abroad again. We'll have a look at the European Pattern Book, see what's in that and go from there.

'The Ayr race is the British option at the moment and it's just over two weeks away.

'There's not a lot left for him. The handicapper won't be easy on him, that's for sure.'

Evans reported her stable star to have returned home in fine fettle.

'He's absolutely fine. He is very easy and you can do what you like with him. He's no trouble at all,' she said.
