Ballyogan Stakes Preview

Ger Lyons is double-handed in the Ballyogan Stakes at Leopardstown as That´s Hot and Elletelle both take their chances.

That´s Hot was beaten a neck in the Group Three contest 12 months ago, while last year´s Queen Mary winner Elletelle is on a recovery mission after finishing last of 11 runners at the Curragh on her seasonal bow.

Lyons said: "That´s Hot is having her first run of the year, but she is in good form and hopefully she can go one better than last year with Johnny Murtagh on board."

He added: "The ground will be much better for Elletelle than it was the last day, but she has actually put on weight since then. We ran her over seven furlongs but the plan now is to revert to sprinting, and this race is not the be all and end all.

"It´s difficult for a three-year-old filly and we will hopefully be running in some decent races later in the season."

Lyons´ pair will face nine rivals in the six-furlong heat, including Ed McMahon´s Listed winner Cartimandua, Kevin Ryan´s Eastern Romance and the David Nicholls-trained Manzila.

Athasi Stakes second Emily Blake lines up along with Aleagueoftheirown, Campfire Glow, Age Of Chivalry, Forthefirstime and My Girl Sophie.
