Boscobel supplemented for Budweiser Irish Derby Boscobel has been supplemented to run in Sunday's Budweiser Irish Derby at the Curragh at a cost of 150,000 euro. Sheikh Mohammed's recent Royal Ascot winner is one of twelve entries for the 1.5 million euro weekend showpiece. Eagle Mountain, which is likely to be sent off a short priced favourite, following his second to Authorised in the Epsom Derby, is one of five entries from the powerful Aidan O'Brien stable. The French are well represented with Royal And Regal (the mount of Johnny Murtagh) and French Derby third Shamdinan. Sir Michael Stoute, who is to be inducted into the Irish Derby Hall of Fame on Sunday, is likely to be represented by Al Shemali, a fast finishing second to Zaham in last week's Hampton Court Stakes at Royal Ascot. Striving Storm is another notable overseas challenger, while the home team is completed by Mores Wells and Prince Erik. Impressive Coventry Stakes winner Henrythenavigator is a notable entry for the Group 2 Anheuser-Busch Adventure Parks Railway Stakes. His trainer, Aidan O'Brien, has also left Greek Mythology, Lizard Island, South Dakota, Listen and You'resothrilling in the 6 furlong juvenile contest, while trainer Jim Bolger is likely to be represented by Saoirse Abu and the in-form Ger Lyons stable with Irish Jig. Benbaun, a regular visitor to the Curragh, heads the list of eighteen entries for the 5 furlong Listed Bud Light Stakes. Also included amongst the overseas challengers are Bond City, Bounty Quest, Green Manalishi, Peace Offering and Tax Free. Recent Sandown runner up City of Tribes spearheads the home defence, along with Snaefell, Contest and last season's Dubai Duty Free Anglesey Stakes winner Regional Counsel. A total of twenty one horses have been entered for the Listed Netjets Celebration Stakes. Most notable amongst them are the Ray Guest trained Bahia Breeze, who is the only overseas challenger for the contest over one mile. Decado, An Tadh, Common World, Namaya and Sorolla will all strive to keep the winning prize money at home. The John Roarty Memorial Scurry Handicap has always been a very competitive affair and that trend looks certain to continue with a total of forty three entries including six from the British based Dandy Nicholls stable ? Bahamian Pirate, Continent, Gift Horse, Indian Trail, Machinist and Turnkey ? while compatriot Kevin Ryan is responsible for three entries in Desert Commander, High Curragh and Mutamared.
