Camillo Bypasses Guineas Run

Sander Camillo will miss this afternoon´s Stan James 1000 Guineas at Newmarket.

Trainer Jeremy Noseda and owner Sir Robert Ogden have decided to bypass the fillies´ Classic with their star juvenile as she is in season.

Noseda said: 'Sander Camillo is a non runner.

'She is in season and we have decided that as she has not come out of season, she will not run.'

Sander Camillo was among the top-rated two-year-old performers last term after winning the Albany Stakes at Royal Ascot and Newmarket´s Cherry Hinton Stakes.

However, she had endured a far from perfect preparation for the big race and was beaten at odds-on by Scarlet Runner in the Nell Gwyn Stakes last month.
