Catch Me At Punchestown

Catch Me, third behind Massini's Maguire at the Cheltenham Festival, will bid for consolation in the Land Rover Champion Novice Hurdle at Punchestown next week.

After being touched off by De Valira at Leopardstown in December, Edward O'Grady's five-year-old then managed to get rid of Barry Geraghty in the Deloitte Novice Hurdle won by Aran Concerto.

However, he showcased his talents at Cheltenham when he was beaten just over a length by Philip Hobbs' charge and Tidal Bay, who have since franked the form at Aintree.

'He's in the two-and-a-half-mile race and he seems in good shape, he came out of Cheltenham well,' said O'Grady

'He has run on the Flat so he should go on the ground and we are hopeful of a big run from him.

'You have to worry about horses at the end of a long season and the only time we'll discover it is when everybody else does if they don't run up to their mark.

'We are confident that he hasn't gone over the top though as he hasn't had a very hard season and we kept him very much for Cheltenham,' he told At The Races.

'There was plenty in the locker going there so we are confident he hasn't gone over the top.'
