Change of ownership for Beau Millionaire businessman Trevor Hemmings has added Beau to his team for the Martell Grand National, it emerged today. The leading owner has bought the Nigel Twiston-Davies-trained nine-year-old, who will join The Last Fling (Sue Smith) and Goguenard (Nicky Henderson) in carrying his colours on Saturday.'Mr Hemmings previously bought Young Kenny in the hope that he might win a National but after winning the 2000 Tote Becher Chase at Aintree the horse had to be put down after being injured at Haydock and Mr Hemmings has been on the lookout for a replacement,' Hemmings` racing manager Michael Meagher said.'Beau became available this week and the deal has just been completed.'The horse will certainly stay with Nigel Twiston-Davies for the National but I do not know what plans Mr Hemmings has for him after that.'Beau was rated an unlucky loser in last year`s National, having travelled well until a mistake at the 17th fence caused jockey Carl Llewellyn to lose his reins - the rider was unseated three fences later.
