Charlie Team Not Without Hope

The Tommy Stack-trained Myboycharlie has failed to reproduce his juvenile form this season, but connections are hopeful he can still make his mark.

The Danetime colt was unbeaten on his first three starts last season, winning the Group One Prix Morny at Deauville in impressive style. He was then beaten only three and a half lengths by New Approach in the National Stakes, but he has failed to figure in two starts this year.

"He could go for the Betfred Sprint Cup at Haydock but we will have to talk it other with the owner John Magnier," said Stack's son and assistant Fozzy.

"He has been disappointing but it is hard for three-year-old sprinters and he has a Group One penalty to contend with in most races as well."
