Chelsea may have National prep on Sunday

Chelsea Harbour could tackle the Mick Holly Memorial Handicap Chase at Leopardstown on Sunday as Tom Mullins plots his path to the John Smith´s Grand National.

Mullins would consider bypassing the race if his charge had to give weight away to all his rivals, but is otherwise keen to let him take his chance.

"I´d be tempted to go to Leopardstown as long as he wouldn´t end up with top weight. If either Forget The Past or Slim Pickings were to run, we probably would give him his last run there before the National," said Mullins.

"You have to be looking ahead and he´s in good order, but if he were to end up with top weight I might pick something else for him."

Chelsea Harbour is as short as 20-1 with Betfred for the Grand National after slamming some useful rivals in a familiar Punchestown trial won by the likes of Hedgehunter in the past.

"He´s right back to what he was last year but I still haven´t weighed it all up really," Mullins continued.

"He won it off top weight and Hedgehunter won it off just 9st 3lb a few years back. He went on to win a National and it was obviously a good performance but I´m not sure how it equates - I´m not sure just how good it was."

"His best performances have come on heavy ground but he has won on good over hurdles, so we wouldn´t be too put-off by quicker ground with him now."
