City Out To Restore Reputation Cheltenham flop Detroit City will bid to bounce back to his best in the Baltika Beer Hurdle at Aintree on Saturday.The Philip Hobbs-trained grey was sent off the 6-4 favourite for the Champion Hurdle last month, but was never travelling with any fluency and eventually finished a well-beaten sixth.Connections are still baffled by his no-show at the Festival and are looking forward to getting him back on track this weekend.Hobbs said: 'Detroit City is in good form and, all being well, he's a definite runner at Aintree on Saturday.'Nothing came to light to explain his below-par performance in the Champion Hurdle, so it's likely to remain a mystery, but we've been very pleased with him since,' he told the Racing Post.Detroit City will tackle two and a half miles for the first time in Saturday's £160,000 Grade One event.(C) PA Sport
