Coral price up Classic and Derby

Coral have been first off the blocks to issue prices for next year`s Breeders` Cup Classic.

Interest in the race grew yesterday with the news that Sakhee is to stay in training for another year with the American contest his target after the Dubai World Cup.

Trainer Jay Robbins had already confirmed that 2000 winner Tiznow, who denied the Godolphin charge by a nose in this year`s event last weekend, will remain in training to bid for an incredible hat-trick of wins, setting up the chance of a high-profile re-match.

Coral spokesman Simon Clare today confirmed that the English firm had already seen several large bets at 16-1 for Tiznow, while one Coral betting shop customer had placed Stg£1,000 on Sakhee at 20-1 to exact his revenge.

Both horses are now the 12-1 joint-favourites.

'They are as difficult to split in our betting list as they were on the track in Belmont,' said Clare.

'It may be a long way off but both Tiznow and Sakhee will be campaigned with the Classic as their number one target, and we have already laid bets on both horses at 12-1.'

Aidan O`Brien`s young star Johannesburg is a 20-1 chance to do what Macho Uno could not this year and follow his Breeders` Cup Juvenile win with a victory in the Classic.

Coral also issued a full list on the Kentucky Derby, making Johannesburg the favourite at 5-1, with Officer next best at 12-1 and Siphonic a 14-1 chance.

Dubai Destination is rated a 33-1 chance to miss the Guineas and win the Kentucky Derby.
